How to Play Vortex468

Play one-on-one or bring more players together in teams. Take turns rolling your marbles, then count the points in the grooves to see who wins.

Playing a standard game

Vortex468 is played by two people. Each player chooses a color and takes 10 marbles.

  1. First player rolls one marble.
  2. Second player rolls one marble.
  3. Keep alternating turns until each player has rolled all 10 marbles, for 20 shots in total.
  4. Once all 20 shots are finished, count the points.

How scoring works

Count only the marbles resting in the grooves after all 20 shots. Each player adds up the points for their own color.

Far section8 points
Middle section6 points
Near section4 points

A marble that is not resting in a groove at the end does not score. Count the final positions, rather than awarding points after each roll.

Winning and ties

The highest total score wins. If tied, each player rolls one marble in a sudden-death round. Repeat until one player scores higher than the other in that round.

Quick play

Use 5 marbles each instead of 10. Alternate turns for 10 shots in total, then count only the marbles resting in the grooves. The same point values apply, and the highest score wins.

Playing with teams

For team play, alternate the players taking the rolls. With more than two players, cycle through the players so everyone gets a turn.
